Travelling Animals

By law, small animals are accepted as registered luggage to be transported in the hold. Some airlines allow the transportation of animals in the cabin, but in both cases it is necessary to book in advance.
For further information, please contact the airline you are travelling with.

Transportation in the cabin
The container must be of a small size and must have a watertight, absorbent bottom. The animal, the container and any food must not exceed 8kg. During the flight, the animal must not leave its container.

Transportation in the hold
Wherever an airline’s regulation do not allow transportation in the cabin and/or the animal weights more than 8kg (including the container) the animal will travel in the hold. In this case the container may be larger.

GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND MAY TRAVEL IN THE CABIN AND THEIR TRANSPORTATION IS FREE (Check with your airline at the moment of booking).
